An exploration the power of scale by means of cropping. An introduction to architectural drawing conventions. The task: photograph a scene and translate what is a 3D space into 2D drawings. A documentation of what is seen as well as representing what visual/spatial qualities are not visible through photography.

Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design has an intensive six-week summer program called Design Discovery. I took part in the architecture concentration in 2018. The aim: “engage in an iterative exploratory design process of drawing and model making within the context of a design studio. This process will help build your ability to translate observations about the world into visual and spatial language.”
